I’m an artist, archivist, and product designer with a background in media collections design, including archival systems for the Canadian video art archive Vtape, for the artist app archive +ArtApp and expereince design for Audible. My art practice explores the performance of self in everyday life, and the relationship between that perpetual external display and one’s own internal monologue. I’m interested in the intimacy that can form between a self-image, the technologies that enable it, and the culture of identity consumerism that surrounds it. My performance and media work has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art and the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery.
Je suis artiste, archiviste et designer de produits, spécialisé dans la conception de collections médiatiques—notamment la mise en place de systèmes d’archivage pour Vtape et pour l’application d’archives d’artistes +ArtApp, ainsi que dans la conception d’expériences utilisateur pour Audible. Ma pratique artistique explore la mise en scène de soi dans la vie quotidienne, ainsi que la relation entre cette perpétuelle représentation extérieure et le monologue intérieur de l’individu. Je m’intéresse à l’intimité susceptible de se nouer entre l’image de soi, les technologies qui la rendent possible et la culture de consommation identitaire qui l’entoure.
